Three Large Circles Template

Our task must be to free ourselves... by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty
Albert Einstein, in a letter of 1950, as quoted in The New York Times (29 March 1972).

So I haven't posted here for awhile.  This is partly because my computer got to the point where it wasn't really usable for designing, and partly because life got busy as I recently started teaching.  But I now have a new computer and I have some stuff to share, so I am back and my blog doesn't have to feel so neglected.

I recently entered a template giveaway at To Be Remembered Designs.  Essentially you needed to  make an original template and submit before the deadline, and you received all the submitted templates.  So I made a template for that and then saw it in use on TBRD facebook page.  I loved seeing my design used, so I thought I would make it available for free to anyone who actually comes to my blog.  Here is the preview.

The original layout was designed by me for the Master Scrapper competition in 2013 at Gotta Pixel. The kit "Part of Me" was provided for week 4 of the competition by Aprilisa and Pixelily.  I love big photos, and shaped photos.  As many of the kit elements were circular I used three large circles for my photos.

This template is free to use.  If you want to sell the stuff you make with it that is fine, but do not sell the original template. Do not host the file on another website, but please feel free to link back here.  If you use it, I would love to see it, please post a link in the comments.  And finally if you like this template say so, because that will encourage me to make more.  Thanks for reading, happy scrapping.

Finally here is your download link for a .psd file.
Choice 1: Box
Choice 2: Google Drive
Any problems with the download, please let me know.

Doctor Who Fan Art Blog Train

Today (Nov 23rd 2013) is the 50th anniversary for the television series Doctor Who.  As part of the celebrations, a group of us has been making a blog train for the event. You can see the preview of the whole blog train here

I now present to you my very first scrap-booking kit.  Includes 4 papers, 8 flowers, 3 leaves, an edible ball bearing scatter and number 50. The download is through box, I thought it appropriate {or alternate download here through google drive}.  If you saw the preview from the blog train, I have added a few more sunflower items.  I'll be putting up more Doctor Who themed items in the future, so keep an eye on the blog.

EDIT: While scrapping with some of my pieces I noticed some stray pixels, and I also made some changes to the painted sunflower as I didn't like the white on the edges.  The link should now take you to the corrected version of the kit.  If you already downloaded the kit you can get the corrected images here rather than downloading the whole kit again.

EDIT2: I had something like 200 downloads, then a few people commented that the link was not working for them.  I am not sure why this is, so I am re-uploading the file to box and I am also making an alternate download through google drive here.  Please let me know if this works for you.  If you have alternative suggestions for hosting files let me know.  I'll be keeping this file available so you don't have to worry about missing it.

BLOG TRAIN

Thank you for joining us in an effort to celebrate Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary! All kits included in this blog train are Personal Use Only and are strictly works of fan art. No part of any of these kits are to be sold or traded for monetary gain.

New Blog

Welcome to my new blog Self Experiment. My current need for a blog stems from needing a place to post designs I make under the name Kaytea Cuppa.  This will be free content as I have been amazed  by how much free stuff is available and I want to give back. Content will generally be things I create for myself in one of my interest areas; gardening and nature, science and math, science fiction and fantasy, geocaching, yoga and digital scrapbooking.

I am currently in the process of designing my first mini kit for a Doctor Who blog train.  It should will be available on the 23rd of November.

Keep in mind I am new to this and still learning. So if there are problems either with the downloads or the designs please let me know in the comments and I will try to fix them.  Thanks for viewing

Here is an extraction of a pink rose.  Free for commercial or personal use.  I will be using this recoloured in my upcoming kit.  Download extracted png file from Box here or click on image.
